Putuoshan (means Mount Putuo) is an island at the east part of Zhoushan, Ninbo City of Zhejiang Province. Mount Putuo is one of China's four Buddhist Sacred Mountains, also an island offering a treasure of beautiful ancient temples, stunning scenery and golden windswept beaches for discovery at your leisure. However, Putuoshan's main appeal is its serenity: to take the time to wander around the island and to absorb the atmosphere.
Tour Itinerary:
Day01 Shanghai-Putuoshan (L)
From the hotel,we will leave in Shanghai pier by fast ferry for (10:00 AM-12:00PM ) Putuo island, a peaceful place of hills and temples as well as the pray ground Guanyin and the Goddess of Mercy.
Day02 Putuoshan (B, L)
The island tour covers the main temples of Puji, Fayu and Huiji among which the Puji Temple is the oldest, the Huiji Temple is siutated near the island's highest point, while the Fayu Temple lies overlooking the sea with huge state of Guanyin being the focus of the goddess'birthday celebrations in April.
Day03 Putuoshan-Shanghai (B)
In the morning, you will be free in Putuoshan. You can have a swimming in the sea. At noon, you will be transferred to the wharf and take the fast ferry boat will bring you back to Shanghai. Upon arrival, you will go home on your own.
