Tour Description :
With nearly 15 million people, Beijing is an enormous city which has modern characteristics as well as splendid relics and structures from China's imperial past. The tour begins at Tian'anmen Square, the more recent page from China's history book. You will visit the Tian'anmen Tower, Monument to the People's Heroes, Great Hall of the People and Chairman Mao's Mausoleum. Then, you will move on to the legendary Forbidden City, now known as the Imperial Palace Museum. The history of the Ming and Qing dynasties is represented here throughout four palatial halls, together with treasures from previous dynasties collected by the Ming and Qing emperors.  After lunch, your will go to the Temple of Heaven, dating back to the 15th century. Originally built in 1420, the Temple of Heaven served as the site of prayer, traditional ceremonies and sacrificial rites.
