Tour Description:
Your tour starts at the Capital Museum, one of the best places to acquaint yourself with the history and culture of China's capital city. The museum is divided into two halls, each with six floors of exhibits. You can learn about ancient Beijing and the customs and culture for thousands of years, then see extraordinary collections of ancient artifacts including statues, jade, bronze vessels, etc.  After lunch, you will visit the magnificent gardens at the Prince Gong's Mansion, Beijing's largest and best preserved royal mansion of the Qing Dynasty. Next, you'll take the tour to the streets of Beijing by rickshaw, also known as pedicab. This portion of the tour allows you to get a taste of life in the city as your driver pedals through the old, narrow streets, or hutongs. It includes a stop to visit the home of a Chinese family and climb to the top of an old drum tower for a bird’s eye view of the area.
