Tour Itinerary:
Day01 Guilin (L)
Arrival in Guilin. Met and transferred to the hotel.Guilin is hailed by many people as the most beautiful place in China and cannot be missed for foreign tourists. According to an old Chinese saying: Guilin's scenery prevails all others in the world. Its shapely-rising limestone towers and crystal-clear waters are often portrayed deliberately in Chinese artworks. Furthermore, many fascinating caves enhance its natural beauty, e.g. the Elephant Trunk hill and Reed Flute Cave. The karst formation of limestones in this area is extensively eroded underground and Reed Flute Cave is one of the finest examples among them.
Day02 Guilin-Yangshuo (B, L)
Taking a boat cruise trip from Guilin along the Lijiang River can be considered as one of the finest excursions on your tour of China. The journey downstream to Yangshuo shows 30 miles of breathtaking scenery: clumbs of bamboo trees lay the shores, buffalo wallow in the shallow water, and children have fun beside their father who rake the river bed for reeds. En route, we will meet with villagers herding their cormorant birds along the river bottom in search of fish. Besides, lunch is served aboard. Upon arrival at Yangshuo, you will take a tour around town by bicycle or storage battery car to explore traditional village life: wandering through the rice fields and appreciating numerous karst peaks surrounding it. And then we stay overnight at Yangshuo. What is more, if local conditions permit, tonight we will attend "Yinxiang Liusanjie", an exciting local minority show performed on the bank of the Lijiang River.
Day03 Yangshuo-Guilin-Longsheng (B, L)
After breakfast, we are going to have a full-day excursion in Longsheng for exploring Ethnic Minorities by hiking to villages of the Yao nationality and to the top of the Rice Terraces. After about 3-hour drive, we get to Longsheng County, hiking for about one hour to Ping'an village and visiting the Rice Terraces where the Zhuang and Yao Ethnic people have lived for hundreds of years. What is more, visiting the Rice Terraces is also called Dragon's Backbone in Chinese, i.e. a group of large-scaled rice terraces built int the hillside. We stay overnight at the guest houses of the village.
Day04 Longsheng-Guilin (B)
Today you will be free in Longsheng. Then we will send you off from Longsheng to the airport of Guilin where you go to the next destination.
