Day 1 USA- Beijing
Depart from the USA for Beijing.

Day 2 Beijing
Upon arrival in Beijing, you are met by your local guide and transferred to the Hotel.

Day 3 Beijing (B,L,D)
After breakfast, visit Tiananmen Square, then enter the Forbidden City, home of Chinese Emperors for more than 500 years. After lunch, visit the Temple of Heaven, one of the best examples of Ming Dynasty architecture in Beijing. Attend a welcome banquet featuring Beijing Roast Duck in the evening.

Day 4 Beijing (B,L)
The highlight today is an excursion to the Great Wall at Badaling. Enjoy the dramatic vistas and marvel at the Wall as it climbs and descends steep ridges and narrow valleys. After lunch, visit the Summer Palace, where the Empress Dowager Ci Xi would go to escape the heat of the city.

Day 5 Beijing- Xi'an (B,L)
After breakfast, enjoy a pedicab tour of the Hutongs, the "old city" neighborhood of narrow lanes and courtyard gardens hidden behind Beijing's modern facade. Visit Prince Gong's Palace, the Drum Tower, and old-style courtyard houses still inhabited by Beijing residents. Transfer to the airport for your midday flight to Xi'an, and transfer to the Hotel. Enjoy a brief city tour including the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Bell Tower.

Day 6 Xi'an (B,L,D)
Today's highlight is a visit to the Archaeological Museum, home to more than 6,000 life-size terra-cotta warriors and horses excavated from the tomb of the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty. After lunch, visit the Forest of Stelae Museum(Beilin). In the evening, attend a special dinner and cultural show recreating the costumes, music and dance of the Tang Dynasty.

Day 7 Xi'an- Chongqing- Yangtze River (B,L,D)
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Chongqing. Enjoy a city tour, including Erling Park, then board after dinner.

Day 8 Yangtze River Cruise (B,L,D)
Start your spectacular cruise down the mighty Yangtze River. Relax on deck or in the lounge, enjoying the beautiful scenery of the magnificent Three Gorges. Today you'll enjoy a shore excursion to Shibaozhai, a 12-story wooden pavilion built against a sheer cliff on the river bank.

Day 9 Yangtze River Cruise (B,L,D)
This morning you'll cruise through the first two of the famous Three Gorges: Qutang and Wu Gorges. Midday excursion at Shennong Stream, where you'll board smaller boats to explore this tranquil tributary. This afternoon you'll enter Xiling Gorge, then navigate the 5 stages of the new Three Gorges Dam Shiplock.

Day 10 Yangtze River Cruise- Yichang- Shanghai (B,L)
This morning enjoy a shore excursion to the Three Gorges Dam site, where you'll have a birds-eye view of this awe-inspiring engineering feat. Disembark midday in Yichang, where you will transfer to the airport and board your flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival transfer to the Hotel.

Day 11 Shanghai (B,L)
Morning sightseeing starts with the Shanghai Museum, one of the best in China. Proceed to the Jade Buddha Temple, famous for its huge statue of Buddha carved from a single piece of white jade. In the afternoon, visit Yuyuan Garden and the neighboring Old Shanghai Bazaar, with many fascinating shops filled with a variety of curios, traditional medicines, teas and teapots, etc. This evening attend a farewell banquet of the finest local specialties.

Day 12 Shanghai- USA (AB)
At Leisure until you transfer to the airport for your flight back to the USA.

D1. USA-Beijing
Depart USA to China.

D2. Beijing (L)
The flight arrives at Beijing , you are met by our tour guide and to be transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax.

D3. Beijing (B, L)
In the morning, you take a half-day excursion to explore the incredible Forbidden City with its grand palaces and courtyards. Built in 1420, it was here that 24 emperors lived and ruled for over 500 years. The South Gate leads you to Tian'anmen Square - the biggest of its kind in the world.
In the afternoon, you continue to the beautiful Summer Palace where you can discover gardens, palaces and pavilions with temples and halls in a tranquil, landscaped lakeside setting. In the evening, you will enjoy a fascinating Peking Opera Show at the Liyuan Theatre.

D4. Beijing (B, L)
In the morning, you will take a half-day guided visit to the awesome Great Wall of China. Here you can enjoy the stunning views as you stroll along this seemingly endless piece of history, which winds its way into the far distance. In the afternoon, you continue to the Ming Tomb, which took over 200 years to complete.

D5. Beijing-Yichang-Yangtze River (B, L)
You visit the Temple of Heaven, where the Emperor prayed for harvest in Ming and Qing dynasty. Later in the day, you board a flight to Yichang and embark the cruise ship.

D6. Yangtze River (B, L)
The cruise's first stop is at Taipingxi (or Sandouping), where you disembark to visit the massive Three Gorges Dam Project. The ship sails through Xiling Gorge, the longest one of the Three Gorges. Then you disembark at Wushan where you board small riverboat for a leisurely ride through Shennong Stream, which offers clear running waters, picturesque rock formations, and even monkeys and goat along its banks. Then you sail through Wu Gorge, famous for its quiet beauty, and Qutang Gorge, the shortest and most dramatic one of the Three Gorges.

D7. Yangtze River (B, L)
You have an excursion at Shibaozhai or ‘ Ghost City ' Fengdu, depending on the river condition. Shaibaozhai is famous for its 12-story tall, 400 year old wooden pagoda, which is balanced precariously on top of the steep cliff.

D8. Yangtze River-Chongqing (B, L)
You disembark at Chongqing to visit Chongqing Zoo, where you can have an intimate contact with pandas and the General Joseph W. Stilwell Museum, who was chief commander of US forces in the China-Burma-India Theatre during World War II. You can stop at Ci Qi Kou old town if time permits. 

D9. Chongqing-Guilin (B, L)
You depart Chongqing for Guilin by air. Upon arrival you visit historic Fubo Hill and the Reed Flute Cave- a 790 feet deep dripstone cave which includes myriads of stalactites and stalagmites of dazzling colors.

D10. Gulin-Yangshuo-Guilin (B, L)
Today you take a scenic river cruise along the Li River with its peaceful senerity and jagged limestone peaks. Lunch is included on board before arriving at Yangshuo where you have free time to explore and peruse the local shops and markets. Later you continue to take the private vehicle back to Guilin.

D11. Guilin-Shanghai (B, L)
You fly to Shanghai from Guilin. Upon arrival, you visit Shanghai Museum with its collection of ancient Chinese Art of bronze, ceramics, painting and calligraphy. In the evening, you attend a Chinese Acrobatic Show.
 
D12. Shanghai-USA (B, L)
In the morning, you visit the Yu Garden, which has over 30 pavilions, linked by a maze of corridors and bridges. In the afternoon, you are transferred to the airport for the flight back to the States.

Day 1  USA-Shanghai
You will board your transpacific flight to Shanghai.
  
Day 2  Shanghai (L)
Upon arrival, you are met and escorted to the hotel.
  
Day 3  Shanghai (B, L)
Your full-day tour takes you to the Shanghai Museum, including handheld recorder highlighting the special features of the museum's permanent collection, Nanjing or Huai Hai Road shops and a carpet factory. Then you continue on to visit the European-style Bund and the Children's Palace. Tonight, you enjoy a  performance of the renowned and amazing Shanghai acrobats.
  
Day 4  Shanghai-Zhujiajiao-Suzhou (B, L)
This morning you take a walking tour where you visit the picturesque water town of Zhujiajiao, known for its winding canals, arched bridges and Ming and Qing architecture. A highlight of your tour includes a sampan ride on the canals. Then you go to the charming garden city of Suzhou.
 
Day 5  Suzhou (B, L)
Today a tour of Suzhou, noted for its ancient gardens, takes you to the Pan Men City Gate, North Temple Pagoda and Lingering Garden. In the afternoon, you visit the new Suzhou Museum designed by I.M. Pei and Embroidery Research Institute.
 
Day 6  Suzhou-Shanghai-Yichang (B, L)
This morning you take a bus back to Shanghai for your flight/motorcoach to Yichang where you will board a ship and begin your cruise upstream in your outside cabin with balcony accommodations.
  
Day 7  Yangtze River Cruise: San Dou Ping-Xiling Gorge (B, L,D)
You stop at San Dou Ping to see the Three Gorges Dam Project. Then you board the ship and sail through the dramatic Three Gorges Ship Lock before continuing through Xiling Gorge, longest of the famed Three Gorges.
  
Day 8  Yangtze River Cruise: Wu Gorge-Daning River Small Gorges/Shennong Stream-Qutang Gorge (B, L,D)
This morning, you marvel at Wu Gorge's deep zigzagging valley. At Wushan, you take a cruiser excursion up the Daning River to see its famous Small Gorges including the picturesque mini-gorges of the Ma Du River by sampan. Depending on the water level of the Yangtze River, your excursion may be on Shennong Stream with its equally spectac-ular small gorges. Then you rejoin your cruise ship and pass through the grandeur of Qutang Gorge, framed by steep mossy cliffs.
 
Day 9  Yangtze River Cruise: Shibaozhai (B, L,D)
Known as the “Pearl of the Yangtze,” you visit the magnificent 12-story wooden pagoda at scenic Shibaozhai today.
Alternate shore excursion may visit Fengdu or Wanzhou.
 
Day 10  Yangtze River Cruise: Chongqing-Dazu-Chongqing (B, L)
In the morning, you cruise through now-gentle countryside to Chongqing. On arrival, you take motorcoach to Dazu, famed for its Buddhist archeological sites. Here, sightseeing includes the renowned monumental Buddhist sculptures at Baodingshan.  Afterwards you return to Chongqing.
 
Day 11  Chongqing-Xi'an (B, L)
This morning's city tour includes the Chongqing Zoo, home to Pandas and the South China Tiger, one of the most endangered big cats. Later, you fly to Xi'an. On arrival you visit the Wild Goose Pagoda before checking in to your hotel.
  
Day 12  Xi'an (B, L)
You visit the famed life-sized terra-cotta legion of warriors, buried with the emperor for over 2,200 years firstly. Then you have a view of Circle Vision Movie and the Bronze Chariot. Later, you visit the Shaanxi Provincial Historical Museum with our exclusive visit to the private artifact room where you may white-glove handle some of the national treasures from the museum's collection.
   
Day 13  Xi'an-Beijing (B, L) 
You take morning flight to China's capital, Beijing. In the afternoon, a fun-filled pedicab ride takes you through the Hutong district's ancient narrow streets to enjoy a close-up look at the heritage of this exciting city, including a visit with a local family.
 
Day 14  Beijing (B, L) 
This morning, you visit the Temple of Heaven and see local morning exercise. Then you see the Imperial Vault of Heaven with its Echo Wall and the Nine-Dragon Cypress, thought to be more than 500 years old. Besides, you see Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City's Imperial Palace including the jewelry section.
   
Day 15  Beijing (B, L)
Today you tour the Great Wall at Badaling, and walk along its ancient ramparts. In the afternoon, you visit a cloisonné factory, and then stroll along the Sacred Way, lined with statues of warriors and mythical beasts, to the Ming Tombs and Chang Ling Exhibition Hall.
 
Day 16  Beijing-USA (B)
Today, you will be transferred to the airport and fly home.

Beijing is the capital of China, and the host city for the 2008 Olympics. You embark for a full day tour, beginning at Tian An Men Square, the largest public square in the world, its monuments and buildings situated around the square's perimeter. Then you visit the Forbidden City and Summer Palace as well as enjoy a walk along Lake Kunming.

D4. Beijing (B, L)
The Great Wall of China is one of the seven great man-made wonders of the world and definitely the focal point of China. Then you have a visit to the historic Hutong and Alley of Beijing old town, taking in the sights and sounds of the Beijing of olden times. And you enjoy the Traditional Chinese Kung-fu Show tonight.

Xi'an was the former capital of China and enjoys a 5000 year old history. In 221 BC, Qin Shi Huang unified China and became its first emperor. When he died, an entire Terra Cotta Army was constructed and buried with him. It was uncovered serendipitously in 1974 by farmers, and then became one of the century's great archeological discoveries. You can enjoy the magnificant view.

D11. Xi'an-Guilin (B, L)
You finish up the tour in Xi'an with a visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Then you depart Xi'an for Guilin by air. Upon arrival you visit the Reed Flute Cave and enjoy a local Folk Dance Show in the evening.

D12. Gulin-Yangshuo (B, L)
The highlight of today is a leisurely 4-hour cruise down the Li River, passing through valleys, bamboo groves and rice fields. Lunch will be served on board. The rest of the day is at leisure on your own. You can ride a bicycle or walk to the countryside and experience the real Chinese Farmer's life.

D13. Yangshuo-Guilin-Shanghai (B, L)
You finish up the tour in Guilin by visiting the Solitary Beauty Peak, which offers a panoramic view of the city. Flying to Shanghai, you visit Shanghai Museum to see the ancient Chinese art, furniture and jade. In the evening, you attend a Chinese Acrobatic Show.

D14. Shanghai (B, L)
The full day city tour includes a visit to Yu Garden, a classical Ming garden built by a wealthy businessman for his parents as an act of filial piety. Then you visit Shanghai Children's Palace, take in the local scenery at bustling shopping district Nanjing Road and travel along the famous Bund, a five-block long riverfront promenade containing many of Shanghai 's banks and trading houses. Afterwards you hop aboard a cruise of the Huangpu River, taking in the magnificent twinkling night scenery of Shanghai.

D15. Shanghai-USA (B)
You are transferred to the airport for the flight back to the States.

Today, you fly to cosmopolitan Shanghai, one of China's centers of commerce. The rest of the afternoon is free to explore at your leisure. This evening, you attend an acrobatic show.
  
Day 7  Shanghai (B, L)
The full day tour shows you Nanjing or Huai Hai Road and the rich dynastic collections at the Shanghai Museum. In the afternoon you visit  a carpet factory, the Bund and the Children's Palace.
  
Day 8  Shanghai-Yichang (B, L) 
Morning is free in Shanghai. Then you fly to Yichang. Upon arrival, you board your cruise ship and begin your cruise upstream.
If direct flight is not available, fly to Wuhan and travel by motor coach on to Yichang. 
  
Day 9  Yangtze River Cruise: San Dou Ping-Xiling Gorge (B, L,D)

You disembark in Chongqing. Then you visit the Stilwell Museum where you will see an intriguing collection of World War II memor-abilia of the famed Flying Tigers. Finally you fly to Xi'an and check into your hotel. 
   
Day 13  Xi'an (B, L)

Day 14  Xi'an-Guilin (B, L)
You fly on to Guilin, heart of a magnificent landscape. The highlights are the Reed Flute Cave and Fu Bo Hill's dramatic rock formations.
   
Day 15  Guilin (B, L)
A cruise along the Li River reveals the haunting beauty of Guilin's mist-wrapped peaks surrounding the river en route to Yangshuo.

Day 16  Guilin-Guangzhou-Hong Kong (B, L)
You fly to Guangzhou and enjoy a tour of Chen Clan Temple and Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. Then you are transferred by train to Hong Kong.
   
Day 17  Hong Kong (B, L)
The Hong Kong Island tour passes through Stanley Market, Repulse Bay, Aberdeen's floating community and a ride up to Victoria Peak to obtain spectacular panoramic views of the city and its splendid harbor.

Day 18  Hong Kong (B, L)
You are free today to shop and explore on your own.
   
Day 19  Hong Kong-USA (B) 
You will be transferred to the airport and fly homeward.
