Day 01 USA-Beijing
Depart the USA via Air China.
Day 02 Beijing
Upon arrival in Beijing, you are met and transferred to the Hotel. Upon arrival you will be met by your guide and driver and transferred to the Hotel.
Day 03 Beijing (B, L)
In the morning visit Tiananmen Square, then the Forbidden City, abode of Emperors for more than 500 years. After lunch continue to the Temple of Heaven, a beautiful example of Ming Dynasty architecture. China’s emperors would come here to pray for good harvests.
Day 04 Beijing (B, L)
This morning you’ll enjoy a visit to one of China’s most spectacular attractions, the Great Wall, which has stood for more than 2000 years. In the afternoon you will visit the Summer Palace, with its lake and pavilions.
Day 05 Beijing-Shanghai (B, L)
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. Visit the Bund, famous promenade along the Huangpu River, known for its European architecture, and bustling Nanjing Road, China’s most well-known shopping street. After you tour you’ll be transferred to the Hotel. Balance of day at leisure.
Day 06 Shanghai (B, L)
Start your day with a visit to the Jade Buddha Temple, known for its beautiful Buddha carved from a single piece of white jade. Continue to Yu Garden, in the old part of the city, with lovely walkways, pavilions, rocks and ponds. Explore the neighboring Old Shanghai Bazaar, with fascination shops featuring all manner of curios, including Chinese medicine, teas and teapots, antiques and souvenirs.
Day 07 Shanghai (B)
Full day at leisure for shopping or optional tours.
Day 08 Shanghai-USA (B)
Transfer to the airport in time for your flight back to USA.
