Day 01 Newark-Beijing
You fly trans-Pacific flight to Beijing.
Day 02 Beijing (L)
Upon arrival in Beijing, you are greeted and escorted to check in to the hotel.
Day 03 Beijing (B, L)
Today's tour introduces impressive Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City's Imperial Palace, with admission to the living quarters, museum and jewelry sections. After lunch, you continue to the exquisite Summer Palace, with a cruise on Lake Kunming (weather permitting).
Day 04 Beijing (B, L)
A highlight of your visit to China today is to stroll along the ancient ramparts of the renowned Great Wall. Then, you visit a cloisonné factory and observe the skilled artisans to create intricate designs. Afterwards, you walk along the Sacred Way to the Ming Tombs and Chang Ling Exhibition Hall.
Day 05 Beijing-Shanghai (B, L)
Today, you take a flight bound for cosmo-politan Shanghai and check in to the hotel. The balance of the day is free to explore on your own.
Day 06 Shanghai (B, L)
Today's first sightseeing includes bustling Nanjing or Huai Hai Road and the glories of old China at the Shanghai Museum. Afterwards, you visit a carpet factory, then go to visit The Bund and the Children's Palace, a learning center for gifted children in music and the arts.
Day 07 Shanghai-Hong Kong (B, L)
You fly to scintillating Hong Kong and check into your hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore on your own.
Day 08 Hong Kong (B, L)
Today we show off this dynamic city with a circuit tour of Hong Kong Island. You pass through Stanley Market, fashionable Repulse Bay and the floating sampan community at Aberdeen. Then you have a ride to the summit of Victoria Peak which affords unsurpassed panoramic vistas of the city and its splendid harbor.
Day 09 Hong Kong (B, L)
You have a free day to enjoy Hong Kong on your own.
Day 10 Hong Kong-Newark (B)
You bid farewell as you fly home.
