DAY 01 USA- Beijing
You board your transpacific flight to Beijing via Hong Kong. (cross the International Date Line)
DAY 02 Beijing (L)
Upon arrival, you are met and escorted to the hotel.
DAY 03 Beijing (B, L)
Today's tour introduces Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City's Imperial Palace, with admission to the living quarters, museum and jewelry sections. After lunch, sightseeing at the Summer Palace with a cruise on Lake Kunming (weather permitting).
DAY 04 Beijing (B, L)
A highlight of your visit to China today is to walk along the ramparts of the awesome Great Wall. After lunch, you see skilled artisans at work at a cloisonné factory. Then you walk along the Sacred Way to the Ming Tombs and Chang Ling Exhibition Hall.
DAY 05 Beijing-Xi'an (B, L)
You are at leisure in Beijing for optional tours or shopping. Then you fly to historic Xi'an, an ancient capital of China.
DAY 06 Xi'an (B, L)
You view the extraordinary life-sized terra-cotta army, no two alike, buried for over 2200 years. Then you visit Circle Vision Movie, Bronze Chario, the collections at the Shaanxi Provincial Historical Museum and a jade carving factory.
DAY 07 Xi'an-Guilin (B, L)
Today's flight takes you to Guilin, set amidst a valley of dramatic peaks that have inspired artists through the centuries. Afternoon tour takes you see Reed Flute Cave's dramatic rock formations.
DAY 08 Guilin (B, L)
Today's tour brings a delightful cruise along the tranquil Li River with lunch on board. You cruise past a breathtaking landscape of dramatic peaks to the market town of Yangshuo, with time to browse. Then, you return to Guilin and sightsee Fu Bo Hill's dramatic views overlooking the Li River.
DAY 09 Guilin-Guangzhou-Hong Kong (B, L)
This morning, you have a change of pace as you fly to Guangzhou. Sightseeing tour includes Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall and the Chen Clan Temple. Then you enjoy a dim sum lunch at a local restaurant. After that, you take a late afternoon train to exciting Hong Kong, where you will check into your hotel.
DAY 10 Hong Kong (B, L)
Today we show off this dynamic city. Firstly you visit Stanley Market, then go to fashionable Repulse Bay and see the floating community at Aberdeen. Then, you have a ride to the summit of Victoria Peak which affords unsurpassed panoramic vistas.
DAY 11 Hong Kong (B, L)
The day is free to follow your own pursuits – perhaps some last-minute bargain hunting, or explore the city.
DAY 12 Hong Kong-USA (B)
You will be transferred to the airport and fly homeward.
