Day 01 USA-Shanghai
Depart from USA for Shanghai.
Day 02 Shanghai (D)
Arrive Shanghai, meet your guide at the airport and transfer to the Hotel.
Day 03 Shanghai (B, L)
Visit Yu Garden, a classical Chinese garden known for its rock gardens, pavilions, halls and ponds, and the neighboring old Shanghai bazaar, filled with curio shops and souvenirs. Continue to The Bund, famous promenade on the Huangpu River. This evening enjoy a cruise on the River, with panoramic views of Shanghai's skyline.
Day 04 Shanghai-Hangzhou (B, L,D)
This morning you'll visit the Shanghai Museum, renowned for its treasures of bronzes, ceramics, paintings and calligraphy. Afterwards you'll transfer to the neighboring city of Hangzhou and checkin. Tonight enjoy a dinner of local Hangzhou specialties at the Lakeside Restaurant.
Day 05 Hangzhou (B, L)
Enjoy a boat ride on West Lake, whose scenery has been the source of inspiration for countless poets and painters. You'll also visit Ling Yin Monastery, Six Harmony Tower, and a tea plantation where you'll sample some of Hangzhou's famous tea- Dragon well.
Day 06 Hangzhou-Suzhou (B, L,D)
Transfer to Suzhou, a charming city of canals filled with gardens, many dating back centuries; several of the gardens have been designated UNESCO World Heritage sites. Afternoon visit to the Garden of Master of Nets and a Silk Factory. Hotel Checkin.
Day 07 Suzhou (B, L)
visit the Humble Administrators Garden and PanMen Ancient City Gate. Enjoy a boat ride on the Grand Canal; begun in the 4th century BC, it once stretched all the way from Beijing to Hangzhou. Tonight's dinner will be at the SongHeLou Restaurant, first opened in 1757.
Day 08 Suzhou-Wuxi (B, L)
Transfer to Wuxi (if 10 or more in the group, we will arrange the transfer via boat on the Grand Canal). Visit XiHui Park, home to the two hills which are the symbols of Wuxi: Hui-Hill, whose coiling paths were laid out in the shape of a dragon's tail, and Tin Hill, on top of which the Dragon's Light Pagoda Gives panoramic views of the surrounding. Also, visit Li Garden and various pavilions on the hillsides. Hotel Checkin.
Day 09 Wuxi-Nanjing (B, L)
Transfer to Nanjing. Check into the Hotel. Enjoy city tour of Nanjing, including Linggu Si and Linggu Ta (Spirit Valley Pagoda and Temple). In the evening, enjoy a boat ride on the Qinhuai-River, affording both beautiful scenery and a glimpse into the lives of the local people.
Day 10 Nanjing (B, L)
Visit the tomb of Emperor Hong Wu, founder of the Ming Dynasty, Yangtze River Bridge, longest rail and road bridge in the world, and XuanWu Lake Park, with peaceful paths and benches surrounding the lakes.
Day 11 Nanjing-Shanghai (B, L)
Transfer back to Shanghai, check into the Hotel. Afternoon at leisure. This evening enjoy an exciting performance by Chinese acrobats and contortionists. You'll be amazed by their displays of balance and agility.
Day 12 Shanghai-USA (B)
Transfer to the airport for your flight to the USA.
