Tour Itinerary:
Day 01 USA-Beijing
Depart the USA for Beijing.
Day 02 Beijing (L)
Upon arrival in Beijing, you will be met by our tour guide and transferred to the hotel.
Day 03 Beijing (B, L)
Beijing is the capital of China, and the host city for the 2008 Olympics. You embark for a full day tour that begins at Tian An Men Square, the largest public square in the world as well as its monuments and buildings situated around the square’s perimeter. Then you visit the Forbidden City and Summer Palace, enjoy a walk along Lake Kunming.
Day 04 Beijing (B, L)
First you have a view of the Great Wall of China which is one of the seven great man-made wonders of the world and definitely the focal point of China. Then you have a visit to the historic Hutong and Alley of Beijing old town, taking in the sights and sounds of the Beijing of olden times. Finally you can enjoy the Traditional Chinese Kung-fu Show tonight.
Day 05 Beijing-Xi'an (B, L)
You firstly visit the Temple of Heaven, where the Emperor prayed for harvest in Ming and Qin dynasty. Later in the day, you board a flight to Xi'an, the starting point of the historic Silk Road. You are drived by the Ancient City Wall, and stop to visit the Bell Tower.
Day 06 Xi'an (B, L)
Xi'an was the former capital of China and enjoys a 5000 year old history. In 221 BC, Qin Shi Huang unified China and became its first emperor. When he died, an entire Terra Cotta Army was constructed and buried with him. It was uncovered serendipitously in 1974 by farmers, and then became one of the century’s great archeological discoveries. After finishing the visit, you can also enjoy the world famous Tang Dynasty Stage Show.
Day 07 Xi'an-Guilin (B, L)
You finish up the tour in Xi'an with a visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Then you depart Xi'an for Guilin by air, and upon arrival, you visit the Reed Flute Cave and enjoy a local Folk Dance Show.
Day 08 Guilin-Yangshuo (B, L)
The highlight of today is a leisurely 4-hour cruise down the Li River, passing through valleys, bamboo groves and rice fields. Lunch will be served on board. The rest of the day is at leisure on your own. You can ride a bicycle or walk to the countryside and experience the real Chinese Farmer's life.
Day 09 Yangshuo-Guilin-Shanghai-Suzhou (B, L)
You finish up the tour in Guilin by visiting the Solitary Beauty Peak, which offers a panoramic view of the city. Then you take a 2-hour flight to Shanghai, and transfer to Suzhou which is called ‘Venice of the East'. Upon arrival, you visit the Lingering Garden, the Grand Canal with boat ride, and Suzhou Silk Spinning Factory.
Day 10 Suzhou-Tongli-Nanjing (B, L)
Today you take motor coach to Tongli, where is lined with Ming style homes and storefronts. It is a highly praised historical site in which you will take an exciting ride on a gondola and experience the charm of the waterways. You drive to Nanjing afterwards, which served as the capital of six dynasties in China. Here you visit Dr. Sun Yat-Sen's Mausoleum and the remains of the Ming City Wall, afterwards walk along Confucius's Temple night market.
Day 11 Nanjing-Yangzhou-Wuxi (B, L)
The 2500-year-old Yangzhou City is known for its numerous pavilions and delicate Huayang cuisine. You have a visit to the Slender West Lake and Ge Garden. Besides, you can take motor coach to Wuxi in the afternoon.
Day 12 Wuxi-Hangzhou (B, L)
Wuxi is also one of the oldest cities in China with a history of more than 3000 years. You visit the Turtle Head Peninsula Park, where you can enjoy the beauty of the Tai Lake, the third largest fresh water lake in China. Then you stop at the Freshwater Pearl Farm before leaving for Hangzhou.
Day 13 Hangzhou-Shanghai (B, L)
Hangzhou is one of the seven capitals of ancient China, known for its tea products. You can take small boat on the west lake, revealing the ethereal beauty of Hangzhou’s willow draped islands. Then you visit Six Harmony Pagoda, which was built about 1000 years ago in Song dynasty. Afterwards you take motor coach back to Shanghai in late afternoon. Then you hop aboard a cruise of the Huangpu River, taking in the magnificent twinkling night scenery of Shanghai. In the evening, you attend a Chinese Acrobatic Show.
Day 14 Shanghai (B, L)
The full day city tour includes a visit to Yu Garden, a classical Ming garden built by a wealthy businessman for his parents as an act of filial piety. After that, you take in the local scenery at bustling shopping district Nanjing Road and travel along the famous Bund, a five-block long riverfront promenade containing many of Shanghai's banks and trading houses.
Day 15 Shanghai-USA (B)
You are transferred to the airport for the flight back to the States.
