The grand tour covers royal cultural relics - Beijing, the ancient fascination of China in Xi'an, the habitat of giant pandas – Chengdu, the breathtaking natural sceneries – Guilin and the breathtaking natural beauty of Longsheng and Yangshuo. Followed by Shanghai, a cosmopolitan, bustling city in China. The last one is Suzhou that shows you the lovely gardens, lakes and terrific islands.
Tour Itinerary:
 
Day 01  USA-Beijing
Depart the USA for Beijing.
 
Day 02  Beijing (L)
On arrival, our guide will hold a welcome sign to meet you. You will be transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax.

Day 03  Beijing (B, L)
In the morning, you will take a half-day excursion to explore the incredible Forbidden City with its grand palaces and courtyards. Built in 1420, it was here that 24 emperors lived and ruled for over 500 years. The South Gate leads you to Tian'anmen Square - the biggest of its kind in the world.  In the afternoon, you will go to the beautiful Summer Palace where you can discover gardens, palaces and pavilions with temples and halls in a tranquil, landscaped lakeside setting. Then, you will continue to explore the Temple of Heaven which itself has become a symbol of the city. Here ancient emperor worshipped God and prayed for harvest.

Day 04  Beijing (B, L)
In the morning, you will take a half-day guided visit to the awesome Great Wall of China. Here you can enjoy the stunning views as you stroll along this seemingly endless piece of history, which winds its way into the far distance. In the afternoon, you will go to the Ming Tomb which took over 200 years to complete, and walk along the Sacred Way which means the road leading to heaven.

Day 05  Beijing (B, L)
In the morning, you will visit the Yonghe Lamasery, which is one of the largest and most perfectly preserved lamaseries in China. In the afternoon, you will take a Hutong Tour by rickshaw to view the oldest part of the city and visit a local family for a real insight into the Chinese way of life.

Day 06  Beijing-Xi'an (B, L)
In the morning, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Xi'an, one of China's ancient capitals. In the afternoon, you will visit the Great Mosque, which is one of the oldest, largest and best-preserved Islamic mosques and the city Wall that still compasses the center of Xi'an.

Day 07  Xi'an (B, L)
In the morning, you will have a full day visit of the world-famous Terracotta Warriors where life-sized infantrymen, archer, officers and their horses symbolically guard the tomb of the first Qin emperor. In the afternoon, you will spend some time at the Huaqing Hot Springs on the way back from the Terracotta Warriors is a must. For centuries emperors came here to bathe and enjoy the scenic beauty. Then, you will appreciate the dramatic Wild Goose Pagoda. In the evening, you will be entertained with the marvelous Tang Dynasty Dinner Show.

Day 08  Xi'an-Chengdu (B, L)
In the morning, you will be transferred to take the flight to Chengdu, which is the capital city of Sichuan. Sichuan is known as the home of the giant panda, eighty percent of which live in this province. In the afternoon, you will visit the Chengdu Panda Breeding and Research Center where visitors can observe pandas at close range. After that, you can continue to visit the Qingyang Palace (Gray Goat Palace), which is one of the oldest Taoist temples.

Day 09  Chengdu-Guilin-Yangshuo (B, L)
In the morning, you will be transferred to take the flight to Guilin.  Upon arrival in the afternoon, you will meet the guide and visit the Reed Flute Cave- a 790 feet deep dripstone cave that includes myriads of stalactites and stalagmites of dazzling colors. Then, you will take the car to Yangshuo.

Day 10  Yangshuo (B, L)
In the morning, you will take a scenic river cruise along the Li River with its peaceful serenity and jagged limestone peaks and visit the local fishing village. Then, the rest of day is free. You could have a pot of tea in a sidewalk cafe on the West Street and enjoy the unique cultures in it.

Day 11  Yangshuo-Longsheng-Guilin (B, L)
Today a full day tour by private car to Longsheng will bring you to the Longji Terraced Fields. This is the most amazing terrace in China, the Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces. After visiting it, you will drive back to Guilin and transfer to the hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 12  Guilin-Shanghai (B, L)
In the morning, you will be transferred to take the flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival In the afternoon, you will meet the guide and pass through the old town and take a walk along the famous waterfront to fully appreciate this diverse city.

Day 13  Shanghai (B, L)
Today you will continue to the Yu Garden, which has over 30 pavilions, linked by a maze of corridors and bridges. In the evening, you can enjoy an acrobatic show at the hotel for your entertainmentl.

Day 14  Shanghai-Suzhou (B, L)
In the morning, you will be transferred to the rail station, and an-hour train journey takes you to Suzhou, known as the Venice of the east. City tour begins with visiting the exquisite Garden of the Master of the Nets, which is followed by a trip to Silk Reeling Factory. In the afternoon, you will go to the Lingering Garden that is on the list of the world heritage by UNESCO.

Day 15  Suzhou-Shanghai (B, L)
In the morning, you will take the private car to visit Tongli that is a well-preserved water town and about 30KM from Suzhou. And in the afternoon, you will go back to Suzhou and take the train to Shanghai. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel and have a good rest.

Day 16  Shanghai-USA (B)
Today you will be transferred to the airport for your homeland.
