Day 01 USA-Beijing
You will board your transpacific flight to Beiing. (cross the International Date Line)
Day 02 Beijing (L)
Upon arrival, you are met and escorted to the hotel.
Day 03 Beijing (B, L)
Today's tour introduces Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City's Imperial Palace, with admission to the living quarters, museum and jewelry sections. After lunch, you have sightseeing at the Summer Palace with a cruise on Lake Kunming (weather permitting).
Day 04 Beijing (B, L)
A highlight of your visit to China today is the awesome Great Wall at Badaling. After lunch, you see skilled artisans at work at a cloisonné factory. Then you walk along the Sacred Way to the Ming Tombs and Chang Ling Exhibition Hall.
Day 05 Beijing-Xi'an (B, L)
In the morning you are at leisure in Beijing for optional tours or shopping. Then you fly to historic Xi'an, an ancient capital of China where you check into the hotel.
Day 06 Xi'an (B, L)
You view the extraordinary life-sized terra-cotta army, no two alike, buried for over 2200 years firstly. Then you visit Circle Vision Movie, Bronze Chariot, the collections at Shaanxi Provincial Historical Museum and a jade carving factory.
Day 07 Xi'an-Guilin (B, L)
Today's flight takes you to Guilin, set amidst a valley of dramatic peaks that have inspired artists through the centuries. Afternoon tour takes you to Reed Flute Cave and Fu Bo Hill's dramatic rock formations. Finally, you check into the hotel.
Day 08 Guilin (B, L)
Today's tour brings you a delightful cruise along the tranquil Li River with lunch on board. You cruise past a breathtaking landscape of dramatic peaks to the market town of Yangshuo, where you have time to browse.
Day 09 Guilin-Shanghai (B, L)
You fly to bustling Shanghai, one of China's centers of commerce. First, you have a tour on emporium-lined Nanjing or Huai Hai Road, then see the colonial-era Bund. Finally, you check into the hotel.
Day 10 Shanghai (B, L)
Today a sightseeing tour shows you the glories of ancient China at the Shanghai Museum. Then you visit a carpet factory and the Children's Palace.
Day 11 Shanghai (B, L)
You are free to explore on your own today.
Day 12 Shanghai-USA (B)
You will be transferred to the airport and fly home.
