Day 01  USA-Beijing
Depart the USA for Beijing.
 
Day 02  Beijing (L)
On arrival you will be met by our guide and transferred to your hotel. You will be free for the rest of the day.

Day 03  Beijing (B, L)
You will have a full day excursion by seat-in coach to the Great Wall - the landmark of China. It is one of the most amazing feats of human labor. In the afternoon, a drive to the Ming Tombs along the Sacred Way with giant marble figures and animals guarding the tomb area for deceased emperors of Ming Dynasty (1368-1644AD).

Day 04  Beijing (B, L)
You will have a morning seat-in coach tour of Tian'anmen Square, the largest public square in the world, and the Palace Museum, known as the Forbidden City which is the home to the emperors for over 500 years in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Some of the grand halls have been used as museums for fine collections of Chinese treasures. After lunch you will be driven to visit the Summer Palace, a former summer resort for the royal family, and take a boat ride on its Lake Kunming.

Day 05  Beijing to Xi'an (B, L)
Your sightseeing this morning is the Temple of Heaven, where the Ming and Qing emperors prayed for good harvest. It is the largest temple complex remaining in China today. After lunch, take a two-hour flight to Xi'an, the great ancient capital and the eastern end of the Silk Road. Then, you will have a city tour of the ancient city wall, one of few well-preserved ones in China.

Day 06  Xi'an (B, L)
This exciting day of sightseeing will include the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses at the Tomb of Qin Shi Huang, the first Qin Emperor, and the Bronze Chariots. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda which was built in 652 AD. It contains a large volume of Buddhist scriptures which were obtained from India by the eminent monk Xuanzang. The remainder of day is at leisure.

Day 07  Xi'an to Shanghai (B, L)
This morning, you will visit the Shanxi Provincial Museum where you will discover how Xi'an became the cradle of Chinese culture. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the airport for a two-hour flight to Shanghai, a cosmopolitan, bustling and heavily populated city in China. You are free for the remainder of the day.

Day 08  Shanghai (B, L)
Your sightseeing this morning features a tour of the Yuyuan Garden, the old area of the city, and a stroll along the lively waterfront, known as the \"Bund\". An acrobatic show will be presented for you in the evening.

Day 09  Shanghai to Guilin (B, L)
This morning, you will visit Shanghai Museum, one of the largest in China, which houses a collection of 120,000 pieces of cultural relics. In the afternoon, you will fly to Guilin, a city known for its beautiful landscape, the spectacular pointed mountains, the winding rivers and the limestone rock formation. You are at leisure for the rest of the day.

Day 10  Guilin (B, L)
You can enjoy a downstream cruise on the Lijiang River and be exposed to the indescribable beauty and scenery surrounding it. Lunch is served on board. You will disembark at Yangshuo, a small town with any stalls selling traditional Chinese arts and crafts. You can visit local markets before returning by coach to Guilin.

Day 11  Guilin to Guangzhou (B, L)
A city tour this morning includes descending into the most extraordinary scenery underground in the Reed Flute Cave, and climbing up the Fubo Hill for a panoramic view of the city. In the afternoon, you will take a one-hour flight to Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong Province and the southern China's most dynamic and developed commercial center. City sightseeing features Six Banyan Tree Temple and the city's free market.

Day 12  Guangzhou-Hongkong-USA (B)
This morning, you will have a tour of Memorial Hall of Dr. Sun Yat-sen and Ancestral Temple of The Chen Family. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the wharf and go to Hong Kong by jetfoil. Then you will be transferred to the airport in time for your international flight back to the USA.
