Tour Itinerary:

Day 1  USA-Beijing
You will board your transpacific flight to Beijing. (cross the International Date Line)
   
Day 2  Beijing (L)
Upon arrival in Beijing, China's historic capital city, you are escorted to the hotel. 
  
Day 3  Beijing (B, L)
You see imposing Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City's Imperial Palace. Then a pedicab ride takes you through the Hutong district's ancient narrow streets to enjoy a close-up look at the heritage of this exciting city including a visit with a local family.
  
Day 4  Beijing (B, L)
Today, you create memories to last a lifetime as you walk along the ancient ramparts of the awesome Great Wall at Badaling.

Day 5  Beijing-Zhengzhou-Kaifeng-Zhengzhou (B, L)
This morning, you are transferred to the airport for your flight to Zhengzhou , where you will continue on by motorcoach to Kaifeng, a Northern Song Dynasty capital whose emperor invited Jews to stay and develop a cotton industry. A synagogue was first built in Kaifeng in 1183; it was rebuilt many times due to flooding of the Yellow River, and finally destroyed by an earthquake in the 1860s. Driving through the center of Kaifeng , your firstly stop at the Dragon Palace, then visit the Jewish Quarter and meet Mr. Jin, one of the Jewish descendants. He has collected old pictures and memorabilia of Jewish life. Your local guide will translate Mr. Jin's talk on the lives of Jewish descendants and their memories. As late as 1928, Passover was observed by a local family. Mr. Jin's brother immigrated to Israel. Later, you return to the hotel in Zhengzhou.

Day 6  Zhengzhou-Xi'an (B, L)
In the mornign, a motorcoach drive takes you to historic Xi'an. Upon arrival this evening, you check in to the hotel.
Travel to Xi’an by train if group is less than 6 tour members.
  
Day 7   Xi'an (B, L)
You tour the famed legion of terra-cotta warriors, Circle Vision Movie, Bronze Chariot and Shaanxi Provincial Historical Museum. This afternoon you return to your hotel.

Day 8  Xi'an-Chongqing (B, L)
Morning is free, and then an afternoon flight takes you to Chongqing. Upon arrival you visit the Stilwell Museum, with its collection of World War ll Flying Tigers memorabilia. In the afternoon, you board a cruise ship to begin your memorable cruise on the Yangtze River.
 
Day 9  Yangtze River Cruise: Fengdu (B, L,D)
You have a shore excursion at legend-rich Fengdu to visit Snow Jade Cave, with its unique stalactite formations. River conditions may require a stop at Wanzhou instead.

Day 10  Yangtze River Cruise: Qutang Gorge-Dning River Small Gorges/Shennong Stream-Wu Gorge-Xiling Gorge (B, L,D)
You cruise through the first of the fabled Three Gorges: Qutang Gorge, hemmed by mossy cliffs. At Wushan, an excursion takes you up the Daning River to view the famed Small Gorges. Alternatively, your excursion may be on Shennong Stream with its impressive small gorges. Then you sail on through Wu Gorge, celebrated for its Twelve Peaks. Next, you cruise through Xiling Gorge, the last and most scenic of all the gorges. Finally, you sail through the Three Gorges Dam Shiplock.
 
Day 11  Yangtze River Cruise: Yang Jia Wang-Yichang-Shanghai (B, L)
In the morning you arriel at Yang Jia Wang. You visit the Three Gorges Dam, the world's largest hydroelectric project. Then you continue on to Yichang where you board your early afternoon flight to Shanghai. On arrival, you are transferred to the hotel.
If direct flight is not available, drive to Wuhan by motorcoach then fly to Shanghai.
  
Day 12  Shanghai (B, L)
You are met at the hotel to begin your tour. First stop is Huoshan Park in Hongkou to see the Monument for Jewish Refugees, commemorating the former Hangkou ghetto where both Jews and Chinese shared years of hardship. Then you visit the Old Jewish Shanghai -- where immigrants lived and their shops catered to the Jewish community. Afterwards you continue on to the old Hongkou district located in a section now known as Yangpu, where much of the residential area is scheduled for demolition under a redevelopment plan. Later, you have a visit to a Children's Palace this afternoon. 
  
Day 13  Shanghai (B, L) 
Today you see the Shanghai Museum's collection of cultural artifacts, emporiums of Nanjing or Huai Hai Road and the fabled Bund. In the evening, you enjoy an astonishing acrobatic show.

Day 14  Shanghai-USA (B)
You will be transferred to the airport for your return flight.
